Well, my mum says
...
they can be anything you want them to be
...
within reason of course!
And she's right!
It really is your day, your way!
Independent Celebrants are not tied to any faith.
But, religious or spiritual elements can definitely be included.
Readings, Prayers, a good old Hymn?
Celebrants are not required to follow a stuffy standardised script.
This is my fave bit, coz I get to learn all about your quirks and craft them into a beaut of a script for you!
The ceremony isn't legally binding
(we're working on that - Wedding Law Reform)
So ... It doesn't need to take place in a licenced venue!
Beach, Field, Forest, Air B&B, Back Garden, Pub Garden - the choice is yours!
You can include a wedding ritual if you want, (or don't).
Some popular rituals are:
Handfasting
Ring Warming (now, now!)
Unity Candle
Quaich / Wedding Cocktail
Sand Blending
Or make up your own unique ritual!
A Celebrant is the best choice when you want a wedding that’s personal, meaningful, and unapologetically you.
